Dota 2: the most underrated offlaners in the game
FIFA 22

While Dota 2 is still one of the best MOBAs of all time, let’s just say that a lot of the time the gameplay can be quite repetitive to get through and that is all because everyone’s using the meta characters at all times.

The lack of variety is very annoying to get through, which is a real shame considering just how many good characters there are in the game to choose from.

So, for this short article we will provide you with a list of the most underrated offlaners in the game, starting off with:

Undying

Despite the fact that this is a very annoying character to deal with, not a lot of people actually end up taking advantage of his skillset because they don’t understand his playstyle.

He has one of the best early set gameplays in the game, he can steal STR and summon Tombstone in an instant which makes him the perfect early game defense against any characters such as Anti-Mage or Phantom Assassin.

Abaddon

The main reason as to why Abaddon is most often just downright ignored by the community is because they only think of him as a support, which is far from what his potential is.

He does a ton of damage with his right-click, and on top of that as soon as he moves to an offlaner position he can easily solo a lot of heroes without a care in the world. Sure, you can team him up with other heroes too in order to boost each other, but he can also solo the enemies if you play your cards off right.

Brewmaster

The main reason as to why you should start considering using Brewmaster in game is because his ultimate is absolutely sick.

He is quite a lot harder to use than most other characters though, as he doesn’t have a way to aim it, but you can still deal a ton of damage as long as you start mastering his timing down.

On top of that he’s a beast in the later game because of his ultimate which is why he is so popular amongst pro players.

Clockwerk

The saddest part about Clockwerk is that he used to be a meta offlaner until the pros started using him as a support, which is when everybody basically dropped him as an offlaner.

While he does make for a good support though, we also recommend that you consider him as an offlaner because he can easily punish any mistakes from the enemy thanks to the Batter Assault spell.

Nyx Assassin

As long as your enemy uses spells a lot, Nyx Assassing is a perfect counter as he has by far the most annoying skills in the game. He essentially takes away people’s mana, stuns them and even reflects their abilities back at them.

As long as you’re dealing with an enemy that has an AoE spell going you can be sure that Nyx Assassin will take them down in an instant.

Night Stalker

This is a very controversial pick, we know that, but hear us out. As long as you can get that snowball going you’ve pretty much won the set, just remember that this is a lot easier said than done. On top of being a very good offlaner however, Night Stalker also makes for a great ganker as well, so definitely look forward to using him as that too.
