MATUMBAMAN says farewell to Team Secret

MATUMBAMAN says farewell to Team Secret

Everyone, pay attention! Team Secret, one of the most popular teams at the moment in the history of Dota 2 has recently made a really important announcement which left the fanbase in complete and utter shock.

They stated in that post that they will no longer be working with Lasse Aukusti “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen despite the fact that he’s been a part of their roster for well over two years now. This decision has come as a shock to every fan of the team as he’s been an integral part of their lineup for so long now that it’s impossible to even picture the team without him.

Despite the fact that he has been essentially booted out of the team, Team Secret have stated that this is in no way a testament to Matu’s ability as a player since despite the fact that he’s being removed altogether he is still commended as one of the top players in the game for sure.

The 26-year-old has shown the world just how amazing of a player he can be, he even won the T1 7 trophy in case you didn’t know and he has built up what many would consider to be one of the most impressive portfolios as a professional Dota 2 player out there.

But this isn’t bad news per se since Team Secret have already discussed who they will be replacing Matu with and guess what? Matumbaman will be replaced by none other than Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi.

We are definitely excited to see what he can bring to the table especially considering the synergy he has shown with this team in the past. Despite the fact that Matu is a really good player, the change, according to the European team, is definitely for the better as they needed something different to really help them elevate their gameplay to the next level.

We even had Clement “Puppey” Ivanov talking about this decision, claiming that despite the fact that this is a fairly sad ending for Matu’s journey with Team Secret, it’s no secret that this change will most likely end up being the better choice for their roster altogether.

Puppey even stated the fact that they’ve had a lot of synergy in the past and that he doesn’t regret spending all those hours training together. He hoped that the two would continue to be friends and that in the near future they would meet again in the competitive scene under different teams.

But alas, we don’t know for sure whether Matu has any plans of continuing on the pro scene or what team he’ll be heading into next. He has stated in his own post that this past year has definitely not been the best for him performance wise but he’s more than willing to get through it and he wished his former teammates all the luck in the world so as to make this the best choice of their careers.

Will Team Secret actually profit off of this or are they bound to lose even more now that Matu’s out of the picture? We can’t wait to find out!
