krafton reveals details for pubg global championship 2021

The PUBG Global Championship of 2021 is finally coming to a close and with it, all of the PUBG events settled for this year are also on their way out. But alas, we have one last thing we should mention about this event and it’s all thanks to KRAFTON.

Yes, that’s right, KRAFTON actually posted online so many details regarding the new and upcoming PUBG Global Championship and in this short article we will provide every bit of info that he brought up during this little expose.

According to him, this event will be a LAN and online hybrid type of competition during which 32 of the best teams in the world will compete against one another for the chance to win a whopping $2 million USD.

But, how exactly will it be structured and when will it happen? This is what we know:

According to KRAFTON, the PGC will last for around a month or so, starting in a little over a week from this moment on November 19th and lasting all through December 19th. Unless there’s any delays happening for any reason whatsoever the time shouldn’t surpass those aforementioned terms.

The event will take place at Paradise City Plaza in Incheon, South Korea but the strangest part about this is the fact that all of the Chinese teams will be competing online as opposed to actually flying to the event place themselves.

But alas, this is what we know as far as dates go:

  • The Rank Decision matches will take place from November 19th to November 21st
  • The Weekly Survival/Final matches will take place from November 23rd to November 28th
  • The Weekly Survival Final matches will take place from November 29th to December 5th
  • The Weekly Survival/Final Matches will take place from December 6th to December 12th
  • The Grand Finals Matches that we’re all looking forward to will take place from the December 16th to December 19th.

As we all know by now, during the Rank Decision matches we will see which 16 teams actually make it to the next step. The more wins they garner afterwards during the Weekly Survival matches will definitely help contribute to getting them further than ever before during the Weekly Finals.

But alas, all of that is great and all but what we really need to keep in mind here is the Decision Matches. After these two weeks of grueling matches will be done, the winners will fight off against one another during the Grand Finals.

As far as the prize money goes, here’s what we know of so far:

  • The total prize pool is of $2 million USD
  • The Weekly Series Winner will get $30,000 out of it
  • The Kill Leader will get $10,000
  • The All-PGC Team will get $5,000 each meaning they’ll get $20,000 in total
  • The Insane Squad will get $20,000 too, as they’ve proven they’re the worthiest one of all

But that’s not all, KRAFTON have also taken their watchers into consideration as they will also be holding up Pick’em Challenges during which the fans can actually predict who will win each prize mentioned above.

You can win serious money in terms of the in-game esports tab so definitely look forward to that if you want to buy yourself some awesome in-game items in the future.
