NIP signs a five-year deal with Zilliqa

The arrival of cryptocurrencies and NFTs to the world of video games and esports is already a reality. A few days ago, Steam had banned all games that had these systems on its platform. But the esports world seems to be positioning itself in a completely different sense, and NIP was not going to be less.

Although it is rare to see teams without sponsorship, every day more continues to arrive. On this occasion, Ninjas in Pajamas is the organization that signs a new union with a company dedicated to the world of cryptocurrencies. The Swedish esports organization Ninjas in Pajamas, also known as NIP, recently entered the cryptocurrency world through a five-year partnership with Zilliqa.

NIP capitalizes on the trend and joins for five years

Even though a large part of the community is against not only cryptocurrencies and NFT; but the agreements themselves, they do not stop arriving. You must remember that an esports organization is still a company and that its leaders want to make money. Therefore, although I do not know the financial details of the agreement, both NIP and Zilliqa will be united for an initial period of five years.

It appears that the company’s intention is for NIP to create new “tokenized and Incentive” experiences for the club’s supporters. Thus, these would deepen the participation of the fans so that later this participation can be monetized more simply. Zilliqa will appear on the Ninjas in Pajamas team shirts; in both, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Rainbow Six Siege. This t-shirt sponsorship will make its debut at the next PGL Major in Stockholm. You will have to see how the community is welcomed regarding this. But if organizations such as TSM or Fnatic have already carried it out, it is not surprising that these cases continue to arrive.

More Details about Agreement

Ninjas in Pajamas are the latest to capitalize on this trend by sponsoring the “high performance and secure” Zilliqa blockchain.

Specifically, the organization’s new partner is providing blockchain solutions to companies. Their offering includes platforms that they claim will “improve” the money-making opportunities for customers.

Other recent esports-cryptocurrency partnerships include a 10-year $ 210 million deal between TSM. And FTX and a five-year $ 15 million deal between Fnatic and Crypto.com.

“The physical and digital worlds are merging, and this has left no one behind,” said Matt Dyer, head of growth at Zilliqa. Esports is the best example of this. Over the past year, fans looking for new ways to interact have realized that esports can be enjoyed as a remote social experience with peers.
