International 2021 Ticket Sales Canceled

Valve has officially announced that the upcoming The International 10 Dota 2 championship will be held without spectators. Event organizers want to ensure the safety of all players, talents, and production personnel, so ticket sales have been canceled. Money for tickets already purchased will be refunded. This decision was made against the backdrop of an increase in the number of coronavirus cases in Romania.

The organization is closely monitoring the ongoing rise in Covid incidence in Romania and the subsequent introduction of new local restrictions in Bucharest. To ensure the safety of all players, talents, and production personnel attending the event, they have decided to refund all ticket sales for The International 2021. They wanted nothing more than to welcome fans to the event live, but they can no longer do so in a way that prioritizes the health and well-being of both audience members and participants. Those who purchased tickets will receive a full refund automatically. The International 2021 will kick off as planned on October 7.

Earlier, all Chinese teams located in Bucharest passed repeated tests for coronavirus. They all turned out to be negative. The check began due to the COVID-19 infection of IG players and employees and the entire Team Aster roster.


According to the news, Invictus Gaming is working on the option to replace the player with TI10.

The International 2021 will take place from October 7 to 17 in Romania at the Bucharest National Stadium. A total of 18 teams will participate to win the prize pool of $ 40,018,195.

The tournament will take place in Romania in the city of Bucharest. The venue for the matches is the Bucharest National Stadium.

TI10 was planned to be held in Sweden in 2020. But the tournament was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In 2021, TI10 was supposed to take place on August 15-25. It was supposed that the competition would take place at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm. However, the Swedish government refused Valve to host the main Dota 2 tournament this year.

The International 2021 Participants List

TI10 participants – 18 teams from different regions.

The 12 best teams of the Dota Pro Circuit rating season entered the tournament directly.

The remaining six slots were played in regional qualifiers in the CIS, Europe, China, Southeast Asia, North America, and South America.

The International 2021 Prize Pool

The TI10 prize fund has broken another record – $ 40,018,195 will be awarded in the competition.

The initial fund was $ 1.6 million. The rest of the funds were collected with the help of Dota 2 fans – 25% of all purchases related to the Dota Battle Pass went to the fund.
