Delete the Temporary App Data

If you want to get rid of the problem right off the bat you will want to delete any and all of the temporary riot app data that has been storing up on your account over the past couple of days, weeks, months or even years.

In order to do this all that you will need to do is the following:

  • First and foremost, you will need to find the app data folder on your computer. You will usually find this at C:\Users\USERNAME\ AppData\Local\Riot Games\Riot Client\Data
  • From here you will need to look for the RiotClientSettings.yaml file and then delete it as a whole
  • Last but not least, restart your computer and run the game while allowing it admin privileges. This will make it so that you don’t have to deal with any credentials later on down the line
