LOL Guide: League Of Legends Tips And Tricks

League of Legends has been the most popular game on the planet for the past 10 years. As such, it receives many changes and updates weekly. For ongoing players, that’s amazing because it brings freshness to the game. On the other hand, it makes it harder for new players to get into it. Many of them struggle at the beginning and give up on the game not soon after.

But that doesn’t have to be the case. These League of Legends tips and tricks will help you jumpstart your LoL career and get ahead of the competition. You’ll be able to surprise your friends with cool tricks that even they hadn’t seen before.

Have Fun

Video games are here so we will have fun playing them. Of course, winning is amazing, but no one was born all-knowing. Losing is a part of the process of getting better. What’s important is that you don’t get frustrated with yourself, or your teammates, or even worse, your loved ones.

Instead, try to enjoy the game and all of its aspects. Find a champion that you have fun with and surround yourself with friends that will make you feel comfortable.

Try Different Roles

When you first hit the Summoner’s Rift you are overwhelmed with the amount of information thrown at you. There are different roles and classes, as well as different champions and they all have different spells? It’s not a surprise League is one of the hardest games to learn.

In League of Legends, the map is split into 4 major parts. They are the top lane, mid lane, bottom lane, and the jungle is located in-between them. Each role is played differently and they all have their strengths and weaknesses. If you prefer being a tank or playing a fighter you might enjoy top lane. On the other hand, if you like the PVE aspect of the game then jungle is for you. Mid-lane is the home of mages and assassins. Lastly, AD (attack damage) carries and supports are placed in the bot lane.

Find Your Champion

There are over 150 champions in the game and they’re all unique. In the beginning, you won’t have a lot of Blue Essence to unlock new champions and try them all. It’s the primary currency in LoL with the other being RP which is used for purchasing premium content such as skins. Instead, each week there is a new set of champions that are free to play.

Of course, you’ll be able to try them against other players in Normal games, or even versus bots in CO-OP VS AI Mode. If you like a specific champion, you can purchase him through the shop. On the other hand, if you don’t have the required BE (Blue Essence) note it down somewhere and buy them once you acquire it.

Unlock Your Camera

With so many things going on around your champion it might be tempting to play with the locked camera. One of the best League of Legends tips is unlocking your camera. Getting used to it is crucial for you to getter better at the game. It gives you more clarity about what is happening in the game. You’ll be able to see how are your teammates doing in the other lanes and move around the map easier.

Learn to Farm

The most important part of League of Legends is getting items for your champion. In order to buy them, you will have to spend gold. The gold is earned by slaying enemy champions or executing low health minions. They’re both good ways to earn it, but one way is much easier than the other. That’s killing minions. In League, that process is called farming.

By farming consistently, you will have more items than your opponents giving you an advantage. Furthermore, it’s cool having a lot of CS (creep score) next to your name.

Die Less

Staying alive is going to be a challenge at first. There are so many things that are out there that want to kill you. Enemy turrets, champions, and minions are all coming for you. That’s without taking into account jungle monsters who are always angry. You will have to learn how much damage do they each do and which ones can kill you.

It’s going to be a hard process but eventually, you will excel at it. What is important is that you don’t stay behind your minions and hide. That way you are going to prolong your learning process.

Use Practice Tool

Practice Tool is going to be one of your best friends at the beginning. In it, you can learn the champion’s abilities and practice their combos. Sadly, that’s limited to the champions who are available to you. Secondly, you can practice farming with no pressure from enemies trying to fight you.

If you like experimenting with different builds or are not sure what items to buy you can easily do that there. Afterward, you can test your damage against Dummies and show them who’s the boss.

Watch Others

If you are unable to play or feel stuck in your improvement process, try watching others play the game. It’s the best trick to learning a lot in the shortest period of time. There are numerous guides on Youtube for everything that you can imagine regarding the game. In addition to that, hundreds of different streamers are streaming League of Legends every day on Twitch. They provide excellent gameplay and are also very entertaining. Besides, you’ll also be able to ask them questions in real-time.

Use Online Resources

Runes, items, summoner spells, it’s all very complicated for beginners. Learning them all from the get-go would be a hard and for the most part meaningless process. The majority of the champions have a set choice of items they buy with little to no variation. To make it simpler use third-party websites such as u.gg and copy most common builds until you are ready to do them yourself.
