Riot has announced that the Stage 2 Masters Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) tournament will take place in Reykjavík, Iceland. The tournament will run from May 24-30 after the conclusion of the second Valorant Challengers Online Open Qualifiers. So pretty much immediately after the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational which will also take place in Reykjavík.
In the VCT Stage 2 Masters the top 10 teams from all over the world will face each other and as in the Mid-Season Invitational they will face each other live and this will be the first Lan tournament ever for VALORANT.
Who are the qualified? Two teams will come from Brazil, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and North America will reach qualification through the Challengers Finals of the various regions. Added to these are a team for Japan, Korea, South America and Southeast Asia.

The first Master tournament will take place on 11 March and as planned will take place entirely online. Each region will have its own tournament with 8 teams that will compete for the title and the passage of the round. VALORANT was launched shortly before the worldwide explosion of the Coronavirus and this has not allowed the organization of any live tournament so far. This is why the Stage 2 Masters Valorant Champions Tour will be the first Valorant tournament ever to be played in Lan.
As with the Mid-Season Invitational there will be no audience in the arena to attend but the event will be visible in streaming. As with the League of Legends tournament, the qualified teams will go into quarantine once they enter Iceland for the event.
