2021 is going to be a brand new esports experience overall major esports games as some major roster changes have taken place. Some super teams are breaking apart while some are being made. The possible transfer of Perkz to the NA region is the hottest in the League of Legends esports universe. And the current hottest topic in the Overwatch esports scene is the signing of Moth by Los Angeles Gladiators. With the 2021 season right around the corner, the Gladiator roster has seen 3 major changes. The North American team has imported 2 South Korean players alongside a North American superstar to mark simply the best roster Gladiators have put up-to-date.

Los Angeles Gladiators have had some major roster changes stepping into 2020, also, David “dpei” Pei taking over as the new head coach. The team missed some major opportunities in early 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and unfortunately, this led to a weaker performance during the 2020 season and play-offs comparing to previous seasons. Gladiators ended the season as the sixth seed in North America region with an 11-10 win/loss record. After advancing into the Season Play-offs with a 3?2 win over the Toronto Defiant, Gladiators lost back to back in both the upper and lower brackets of the North American Play-ins.

However planning to step into 2021, Gladiators have made another major roster change with 3 major signings in the off-season. The team signed one of the best tank players in the Overwatch scene, Young-hun “MuZe” Kim followed by Jin-seo “Shu” Kim. The biggest news came with the signing of the 3-time back-to-back world champion, Grant “moth” Espe. The champ flew right under the radar even though he was mechanically talented from the beginning. Luckily, the community identified his talents and importance recently due to his amazing performance over the last few seasons. Moth is arguably the best main support player in the pro Overwatch scene, who carried his former team San Francisco Shock to 2 championships. He was also a vital player of Team USA?s 2019 squad that went on to win the World Cup. Moth joined history as a part of the first team apart from South Korea to ever win the World Cup.

The fresh Los Angeles Gladiators roster looks like a force to be reckoned with, having two of the best main support players of the world on their roster, Shu and Moth. It is truly exciting to see how this brand new super team flexing a support duo is going to perform in the coming 2021 season.
